Compressed Air Performance Programme
Most compressed air AMCs service the compressor. The Systel Performance Programme looks after the whole system: what the compressors make, where the air goes and what it costs, every month, from year two of a digitization project onwards.
Why a compressor AMC is not enough
A compressor maintenance contract keeps the machine running. It does not tell the owner whether the plant is using more air this quarter than last, whether a new line has pushed the pressure set-point up, or whether the leaks fixed in March are back by September. Those are system questions, and they are where most of the energy goes.
In over 2,000 compressed air audits across 24 years, Systel has seen the same pattern: savings found in a one-time study fade within a year unless someone keeps measuring. The Performance Programme exists to keep measuring.
What the programme includes
- Monitoring subscription. The sensors installed in the digitization project keep streaming to the platform. The owner and plant head receive the daily KPI email and keep the live dashboard.
- Four quarterly Systel visits. Each visit includes a leak survey and machine-level flow checks, compared against your baseline and the previous quarter.
- An updated action list every quarter. Every open item is quantified, with what it is costing per month, and tracked until it is closed.
- Sensor support and calibration for the installed WiseAir instruments.
- Operator training for the people who run the compressor room.
- An annual management review with the owner: the year against the baseline, what was closed, what is still open and what is planned for the next shutdown.
Who does what
Systel measures, quantifies, tracks and verifies. Your own team or your contractors repair leaks, change set-points, service dryers and decide on capital items. This split is deliberate: an outside firm cannot push changes through someone else’s factory, but it can give the owner the numbers to hold the team to account. When a repair is done, the next quarter’s measurement shows whether it held.
Who it is for
The programme follows a Systel compressed air digitization project, because it needs the installed sensors and the measured baseline to compare against. It suits plants where compressed air is a large share of the power bill: textile mills, tyre and rubber plants, ceramics and other process industries running two or three shifts.
What you do not get
No guaranteed savings figure and no standalone audit. The programme reports what was measured, what was done and what is still open. Savings are whatever your team closes, and the record shows them.
By invitation. Not a free audit. A feasibility visit is where scope, sensor points and project value are frozen. It starts with a phone call.
