Compressed Air Training
Most of the energy a compressed air system wastes is decided by daily habits: a set-point raised and never lowered, a compressor left running over a shift change, a leak no one reports. Systel trains the people who make those decisions.
Who the training is for
- Compressor room operators and utility technicians.
- Maintenance engineers and supervisors.
- Plant heads, energy managers and the engineers who prepare energy reports.
Sessions are held at your plant, in your compressor room and on your own distribution network, so the examples are the ones your team sees every day.
What it covers
- How a compressed air system works from compressor to point of use, and where energy is lost along the way.
- Leaks: how to find them, how to estimate their cost and how to keep a leak register that is actually used.
- Pressure: why higher pressure costs more energy, how to find the real minimum pressure each area needs, and what causes pressure drop.
- Air treatment: dryers, filters and drains, and what dew point readings mean.
- Compressor control: load, unload and idle running, sequencing of several compressors and the role of storage.
- Reading the numbers: flow, power, specific power in kW/CFM and the daily KPI report, so the team can act on what the monitoring shows.
Formats
Training is a paid engagement, tailored to the plant: a one-day session for operators, a longer programme for engineers, or refresher sessions as part of the Performance Programme. The content draws on Systel’s 24 years and over 2,000 compressed air audits, not on a textbook.
By invitation. Not a free audit. A feasibility visit is where scope, sensor points and project value are frozen. It starts with a phone call.
